Our relationship with the artistic community, is key to the Foundry; these are some of the artists which the Foundry collaborates with in the production of bronze artworks
Christopher Chetcuti, at the helm of the foundry, crafts not only the foundry's creations but also his own sculptural pieces. With an expertise spanning over 15 years in lost wax casting, Chris has transcended the mere handling of materials to embark on a profound quest for expression. His artistry unfolds in forms distilled to their elemental essence, an eloquent dance of shape and substance.
Working in the mediums of painting, sculpture and assemblage, Liliana Fleri Soler draws her imagery from the human form as well as experience. In order to produce her complex, height-defying sculptures in bronze, she has collaborated directly with The Foundry.
Andrew Diacono is well known for his paintings as well as sculptures in clay and bronze; the latter produced
by this Foundry.
His figures are easily discernible through the distortion of proportion - whether elongated or robustly rotund; his work is always playful, highly tactile and perspicacious.
George Muscat (b. 1962) primarily works in the medium of ceramics. Recent work has focused much on the body, wherein the artist creates body casts which are then transferred into other mediums such as bronze. This expressive pair of hands was cast at The Foundry.
Based in Valletta, Malta - Amelia St George is an established contemporary wildlife and animal sculptor.
Creating work which could fit in the palm of your hand, as well as 'life size' pieces, her style has become immediately recognisable. A considerable number of bronze artworks are cast at this Foundry.
Well known for her 'talking' caricature heads, Francesca Balzan's work is very receptive to people and context. Always quirky and playful, only recently has she begun to explore the medium of bronze, for which she collaborates with The Foundry. Photo courtesy of the artist.
